Alan's selfless organisation of the ECCA Festival and many other events year after year benefitted so many of us young riders by enabling us to get the grounding, the practice, the training and acclimatization to racing that we needed. We all owe him hugely. I am so sorry I couldn't make yesterdays's memorial but Alan was in my thoughts during the day. Thank you Alan, RIP.
